Solidyne Projects

Ergon Energy uses Solidyne equipment

Solidyne has installed direct digital controllers in over twenty Ergon Regional buildings ranging from 4 story buildings, Electrical Sub-Stations to small Office area with one packaged air conditioner mounted on the roof. Buildings are scattered over 1500 sq Klm and are now all connected via modem to make remote diagnostic checks before service personnel are dispatched. All sites are capable of remote alarm functions to a dedicated computer at a central office and SMS messages to mobile phones.

Below is a sample of some Ergon buildings installed with Solidyne equipment.

Ergon Energy Maryborough – Main regional office complex (3 stories).

Air Conditioning plant consists of one main chilled water air handling per floor with multiple zone variable air volume boxes with electric reheats. Chilled water plant resides in the roof plant room.

Features:

  • Air Conditioning Temperature Control
  • Time Clock/Holidays/override
  • Remote Dial Up (Modem)
  • Alarm Text Messaging
  • Data Logging
  • Outside Air Economy Mode

Ergon Dalby – Main Regional Office complex (4 stories).

Air Conditioning plant consists of one main chilled water air handling per floor with multiple zone electric reheats. Chilled water plant resides in the roof plant room.

Features:

  • Air Conditioning Temperature Control
  • Time Clock/Holidays/override
  • Remote Dial Up (Modem)
  • Alarm Text Messaging
  • Data Logging
  • Outside Air Economy Mode

Ergon St George Sub-Station

This a typical High Voltage sub-station that requires 24hr cooling to protect the delicate electronic equipment housed inside of the building. In the event of a failure of one unit or if the temperature is exceeded the backup unit must automatically start. An alarm is generated via modem to the central computer and also SMS to mobile phones.

Features:

  • Air Conditioning Temperature Control
  • Remote Dial Up (Modem)
  • Alarm Text Messaging
  • Data Logging
  • Auto Change over (Lead/Lag)
Queensland Health uses Solidyne Building Management

Hervey Bay Hospital

Hervey Bay Hospital chose to implement an energy efficiency program that would reduce Water-Gas-Electrical consumption. One of the major tasks to be undertaken was to upgrade the existing BMS system to Solidyne BMS and implement energy efficient strategies as well as ensuring the Plant Engineering staff had greater control over the functionality of the Air Conditioning Plant. New and informative WEB graphics were installed with on page help menus that explained certain aspects of the web page information so non professional people could understand what they were looking at. Night setback and temperature drift as well as smarter chilled water temperature scheduling were implemented to reduce wasteful energy consumption. Overall the energy savings are tipped to be up to a staggering 20% savings which is quite an achievement considering that the hospital runs 24hrs a day and strict temperature levels had to be maintained. Features:

  • Air Conditioning Temperature Control
  • Energy efficiency strategies
  • Critical Gas Monitoring
  • Remote access via internet
  • Alarm Text Messaging
  • Data Logging
  • Auto Change over (Lead/Lag)
  • Precise Temperature control in Operating Theatres
